18 hole championship golf course and 9 hole par 3 course located in the North East Shandong Peninsula. Built on reclaimed land from the East China Sea the golf course is built entirely on sand. Large fairways and greens characterized this resort course with very little rough making the course playable for all. Out of play areas of the golf course transition into the sandy waste bunkers planted with native grasses to enhance the character of this reclaimed property.
This golf course routing and master plan was designed for a client's private retreat on a beautiful piece of property in east Texas featuring a private lake surrounded by natural piney woods. The master plan featured a lake house retreat that would serve as the clubhouse and overlook the best views of the water. The 18 hole golf course is routed around the lake and meanders through the woods to take advantage of the topograhy and best views. Another design goal for the project was to insure it would be a casting club for fishermen. A boathouse was designed to accommodate multiple smaller fishing boats for guests to also enjoy time their time fishing on the lake. Guest cabins with private fishing ponds were also located on property to accommodate groups and families. Additional amenities of walking and cart paths were located throughout the property to allow guests to enjoy their time away.
Located southwest of Calgary this private acreage playground included the design and construction on 2 turf golf green complexes in 2013 and additional holes planned for 2014.
Natural peninsulas and plateaus overlooking the lake offered the ideal settings for green locations, and the rolling terrain provided natural hilltops to design and establish multiple elevated tees. The green is supplemented by turf fringe approaches, limestone boulders, mounding, native grasses and capped off with the Rocky Mountains in the background.

The property has 3 distinct landscapes that give the golf course its character and provide for variety and interest. The clubhouse, driving range and front nine are located on the uplands and overlook the sea. The uplands are characterized by gently rolling terrain, grasslands and stands of trees that provide instant maturity to the golf course. The back nine starts into the lower rice paddys, transitions into seaside white sand dunes and finishes on the uplands overlooking the sea.

Elevated tees provide for distant vistas of the surround countryside and dramatic contouring of the property provide the golfer with a challenge at every turn. The multi-family residential towers are connected with a network of green belts and path system that give this development a “park” like setting. The clubhouse is located overlooking a lake that includes a “floating” driving range.
